Oakdale Meat Co History
John came into the business as a teenager, starting as a labourer in the boning room and spending time at livestock markets learning the art of cattle buying. As his knowledge grew, John became the manager of his father's business. John learned the meat industry with diligence and aptitude and with a keen interest in the livestock and export market. John has been expanding the business ever since and has gone on to establish Oakdale to be the company it is today. Concentrating on the domestic market, Oakdale has become one of the largest domestically accredited boning rooms in Australia, processing around 300 tonnes of beef per week, supplying supermarkets, smallgoods and food services in Australia.
Where we are today
Our boning facility in Dandenong incorporates state of the art technology and experienced staff who are trained and qualified in each area of the plant. Beef cuts are trimmed and graded according to Aus-Meat specifications and are sorted into high quality cartons and labelled accordingly.
Over the past 40 years, Oakdale Meat Company's growth stems from our commitment to ensuring the quality and consistency of all Oakdale products. We are committed to every stage of our processing procedure from livestock breeding to the maintenance of the cold chain and cold distribution.
